May 2021

 Dear friends of classical music

We all have a year behind us that leaves us stunned and sad.  If we could have ever thought that our work, that classical concerts and our personal encounter with music could be classified as pathogenic.  We have always believed music bans to be a most reprehensible utterance of totalitarian states, dictates of governments afraid of the joy and sanity power of their own people. Now it hit us.  Overnight, our deepest convictions, our liberal constitutions, human rights, which we have built up and defended with commitment over more than five centuries, were suspended.

Freelance musicians have been banned from working for 14 months.  Planning security is still not given.  As a result, we had to cancel this year's concert tour from the agenda.  The opening of the Singing Academy, which should have taken place on September 1, 2020, has been postponed until further notice under these conditions.  But I'm in talks with the authorities.

I'm looking forward to our next concert!
